"Satyric" Hangtag

This is a project I made for my portfolio class In my last semester of NCC. The assignment was to make a hangtag for a made up clothing store. I decided that I wanted my work to appear as if it was done for a dignified men's fashion store.

My design started with the logo, my goal was to make it look professional with several elements I could use throughout the piece. In order to link the type and elements I used negative space creating a formal tie design. For my piece I decided on a very light transitional font accompanied with a script font to show both elegance and professionalism.

"Style is a way to say who you are without having to speak" was a quote from fashion designer Rachel Zoe. I believe that's what all types of art is truly about, showing who you are. In this case I wanted to show through this hangtag what "Satyric" was.
